Hey, my fellow White Mountain homeschoolers!
I’m so excited to begin offering homeschool classes for the 2023-2024 school year.

WHO AM I?
I’m Michelle Watson, a fellow homeschool mom of two young boys, and I love to teach literature, writing, and the dramatic arts. I’m a coffee-drinking bookworm who stays up way past my bedtime reading.
CREDENTIALS
I earned a BA in English and a single-subject teaching credential from California State University-Fullerton. Although my credential is long expired, I want you to know that I do have that classroom experience under my belt. (After college, I went into writing and editing and *cough* never looked back until homeschooling reacquainted me with my roots.)
ESA FAMILIES
I’ve applied to be an ESA vendor! In the meantime, I can give you a copy of my credentials so that you can submit your payments for reimbursement.
FALL 2023 CLASSES
Classes meet every Friday from August 4 to September 8 (time and location TBD). This is a six-week commitment.
Each class lasts 50 minutes.
Reader’s Theater Junior: Sideways Stories from Wayside School
- Ages 6-10
- $75 total for the 6-week class (paid via PayPal, Venmo, or ESA Direct Pay)
- We’ll have a blast rehearsing and performing our own silly version of Louis Sachar’s hilarious novel Sideways Stories from Wayside School. Reader’s theater promotes reading fluency, comprehension, and public speaking skills. Plus, it’s a LOT of fun.
- Families are welcome to attend our performance on the final day of class (Sept. 8).
No-Fear Shakespeare: A Midsummer Night’s Dream
- Ages 15+
- $75 total for the 6-week class (paid via PayPal, Venmo, or ESA Direct Pay)
- We’ll have a blast studying Shakespeare’s most magical and accessible comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. We’ll also learn a lot about Shakespeare the man, his times, and his Globe.
- Families should plan to attend our final class (Sept. 8) because it will consist of a laugh-out-loud performance of several iconic scenes. (British accents not required. 😉)
