We all like to think of ourselves as heroes, but sometimes we shine brightest when we’re in sidekick mode.

Books are full of iconic friendships. Harry, Ron and Hermione. George and Lenny. Pooh and Piglet.

Answer these hilarious questions to discover which fictional BFF you are most like—and I will reward you with book recommendations at the end!

1. What’s your idea of a fun time?

a) A staycation with meals every hour on the hour.

b) A proper tea party with gossip and giggles.

c) Roaming through nature in blissful silence.

2. How do you cheer up a friend who’s feeling down?

a) Give them a pep talk and offer to carry their burdens.

b) Bestow them with a lock of your hair to show your solidarity.

c) Bring over your pet fox and crow for some animal therapy.

3. What’s your favorite hobby?

a) Eating.

b) Putting together the perfect outfit.

c) Nursing sick animals back to health.

4. What’s your go-to karaoke song?

a) “I Will Survive” – because, even though you look soft, you’re all about resilience.

b) “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” – because you and your BFF know how to have a great time.

c) “Here Comes the Sun” – because you’re all about bringing light to everyone’s life.

5. How do you feel about surprises?

a) NO THANKS. You prefer steady, predictable days—even though you rarely get them.

b) As long as they come with a side of chocolate cake, you’re in.

c) You can roll with surprises. What’s life without a few twists and turns?

6. BONUS: How do you handle a bad situation that comes your way?

a) You may grumble a bit, but you always do what’s right, no matter what—even if there are spiders involved.

b) You cry great, big tears of woe and vent your feelings to a sympathetic ear.

c) You quote one of your mom’s wise maxims, and look on the bright side. Every cloud has a silver lining, after all.
